About

Lauren Scandura is a board-certified Physician Assistant who addresses the otolaryngologic concerns of patients in the Northern New Mexico region. She grew up in Huntington Beach, California and graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Neuroscience.

After college, Lauren worked at a neurotology practice where she developed an interest in otolaryngology. Lauren attended the University of St. Francis in Albuquerque, NM and graduated with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. While at USF, Lauren performed a capstone research project focused on the effect of face masks on speech intelligibility in patients with hearing loss. During her clinical year of PA school, she completed eight clinical rotations and was recognized with the clinical student of the year award. One of her clinical rotations was with the National Sinus Institute in Taos, NM. Her time in Taos was invaluable and inspired her to start her career with National Sinus Institute serving the Northern New Mexico community. Lauren is passionate about helping her patients hear and breathe better.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys a multitude of outdoor activities including hiking, running, and skiing. She is also an avid reader and cook. She looks forward to exploring the vast landscapes that New Mexico has to offer.
