About

Erica Baca is a seasoned healthcare provider with a diverse background rooted in a strong commitment to preventive medicine. Prior to her nursing career, she earned a bachelor’s degree in community health education, highlighting her dedication to promoting wellness and disease prevention.

Since becoming a registered nurse in 2013 after graduating from UNM College of Nursing, Erica has amassed extensive experience, including several years of service at UNMH and working for Kewa Health Corporation at Santo Domingo.  Her focus on women’s health, combined with her expertise as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) for the past decade, underscores her deep understanding of the unique healthcare needs of women and children. She has been working caring for women and newborns for over a decade. 

Erica’s dedication to excellence in patient care has been recognized through her nomination for the 2019 New Mexico Nursing Excellence Award. Her passion for airway health and development reflects her commitment to holistic patient well-being, striving to enhance airway function and quality of life.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Erica finds joy in spending cherished moments with her family, embracing outdoor adventures such as camping and gardening, exploring new destinations through travel, and nurturing her spiritual growth through active participation in church activities.
