Who We Are
The National Sinus Institute (NSI) was originally founded in 2009 as a rural ENT practice in Los Alamos, NM, operating under the name of ENT Associates of Los Alamos. From the beginning, our organization had a vision of providing Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) specialty care to patients across New Mexico, especially in those parts of the state with a disparity of ENT providers. As we continued to grow we recognized the need to provide high-quality ENT practices across the country. Our vision expanded to create an organization that could help to meet the needs of these underserved communities throughout the United States.
We are committed to finding high-quality providers who focus on providing compassionate care to each patient. We welcome patients of all ages from pediatric to adults and treat all general ENT needs, but we are experts on sinus care, allergy and sleep apnea. As we add new providers with other areas of interest we will continue to expand the services we provide.

Our Three-Part Strategy
NSI has developed a three-part strategy to ensure success at achieving our vision of becoming a national leader in the delivery of ENT services. First, we have welcomed a wonderful complement of highly trained and highly skilled advanced practice clinicians who see many of our patients autonomously, allowing our surgeons the opportunity to do what they alone can do in performing surgical procedures. Second, we make every effort to provide the care for our patients in the most cost-effective manner performing many of our cases in office, and last we take a relentless approach to innovation as we constantly strive to improve processes, medical practice, and even medical devices to improve the delivery of care.
We have a team approach to health care, using a Advanced Practice Clinician model with Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, to see the majority of our patients. This means our patients can get in quicker to see a provider and have more time with their provider to discuss their issue and the best course of treatment. This also means that our surgeons can put their expertise to the best use, by operating on patients.
We also believe that we have a responsibility to provide the care at the lowest appropriate cost for our patients and the insurance providers with whom we partner. As such, we perform many clinical procedures in the office as the patient and treatment allows, helping to cut health care costs for our patients and their insurances, while providing the ease and convenience of visiting a clinic for a procedure, rather than the operating room. This allows for faster recovery and less anxiety for patients.
We are committed to constant and compelling innovation. We work with some of the greatest minds in the industry to stay ahead of the constant changes in health care. We are continuously looking for ways to improve our operation from a business management perspective to a medical device perspective. In fact, we maintain an agreement with a medical device and innovations company with whom we currently have over 10 patents.
We believe this strategy, coupled with the highest quality physicians, advanced practice clinicians and support staff will enable us to transform the delivery of ENT care throughout the country. Our innovative approach and dedicated focus on cost-effective and high-quality care will allow us to become a national leader in the delivery of healthcare services.
